Judgments: Upon the Israelites for Complaining
Source: Nav
Numbers 11:1, 33, 34
Soon the people began to complain about their hardship in the hearing of the LORD, and when He heard them, His anger was kindled, and fire from the LORD blazed among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp. / But while the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, the anger of the LORD burned against the people, and the LORD struck them with a severe plague. / So they called that place Kibroth-hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food.
Numbers 14:22, 23, 32, 35–37
not one of the men who have seen My glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness—yet have tested Me and disobeyed Me these ten times— / not one will ever see the land that I swore to give their fathers. None of those who have treated Me with contempt will see it. / As for you, however, your bodies will fall in this wilderness.
Numbers 21:6
So the LORD sent venomous snakes among the people, and many of the Israelites were bitten and died.
Numbers 25:4, 5, 9
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and execute them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that His fierce anger may turn away from Israel.” / So Moses told the judges of Israel, “Each of you must kill all of his men who have joined in worshiping Baal of Peor.” / but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000.
