Exodus 13:11–16 And after the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites and gives it to you, as He swore to you and your fathers, / you are to present to the LORD the firstborn male of every womb. All the firstborn males of your livestock belong to the LORD. / You must redeem every firstborn donkey with a lamb, and if you do not redeem it, you are to break its neck. And every firstborn of your sons you must redeem.
Leviticus 11:44–47 For I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am holy. You must not defile yourselves by any creature that crawls along the ground. / For I am the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt so that I would be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy. / This is the law regarding animals, birds, all living creatures that move in the water, and all creatures that crawl along the ground.
